New Delhi : However, the prices of Bulk Vended Milk (BVM) commonly referred as Token Milk and Cow Milk comprising of over 30 percent of Mother Dairy’s total milk sales will remain unchanged.
The revision in price is for key Poly Pack Milk variants.
The last consumer price revision in Delhi NCR was taken in May 2014 and since then, the company has been retaining the prices.
It is important to note that the company has also increased its farm prices by about seven-eight percent in last one year while the effective consumer price hike is not more than three percent.
The new effective prices will see an increase of Re 1/litre (1000 ml pack) and to facilitate change management, the prices of 500 ml packs have also been revised and rounded off to the nearest rupee.
It is pertinent to note that Mother Dairy passes close to 80 percent of the sales realization from milk towards the procurement of milk.
Mother Dairy’s token milk will not undergo any price revision.
Mother Dairy sells about 35 lakh litres per day, of which 30 lakh litres is in Delhi-NCR.
It has about 800 milk booths and nearly 400 stores in the national capital region.
